Description

finely potted with conical sides rising to a slightly flared rim, freely applied overall with russet splashes, all reserved on a lustrous black glaze stopping just short of the biscuit foot

Collection of Brodie & Enid Lodge, no. M.123 (label).

Condition

The overall condition is very good. There are some original burst bubbles, as well as polished kiln adhesions to the foot where the glaze pools. The actual colour is slightly richer than the catalogue illustration.
