Condition
This work is in good condition overall. There is evidence of wear and handling along the edges which has led to pinpoint spots of paint loss around the edges, paticularly at the corners. There is evidence of foxing throughout the work. Under close inspection, pinpoint areas of paint loss and pinpoint accretions are visible. Under raking light, ther are light and unobtrusive surface abrasions visible in the black painted areas. Under very close inspection and under raking light, light hairline craquelure is visible in some of the white painted areas. Under the top matte and not visible when the work is in its frame, there is a horizontal band of paint loss approximately ⅛-inch thick that runs along the top of the work. Framed under glass.
