Condition

This work is in good condition overall. The canvas is unlined. The tacking edges of the canvas are taped and there is very light wear at the extreme turning edges of the canvas. There is stable hairline craquelure in the more concentrated areas of pigment, most noticeably in the center quadrant in the green and brown pigment areas and at the top center quadrant of the canvas. There is a faint, very shallow surface abrasion that runs diagonally in the center right quadrant and a surface accretion in the lower right quadrant, in the orange pigment. There is a soft, mottled variation to the background color of the canvas. There is a very soft crease at the left center edge of the canvas. Under Ultraviolet light, it appears that the painting has benefitted from minor spots of inpainting and stabilization of the craquelure in the center of the canvas. Framed.
