Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. There is visible overall wear and handling to the sheet, which are inherent to the artist's working method and intensions. There are scattered tears and creases in the surface of the paper, and pinholes around the edges of the collaged sheets. There is a horizontal tear in the upper left corner extending from the left edge approximately 1 ½ inches. The sheet is hinged verso to the backing board and framed under Plexiglas.

Catalogue Note

“What does the artist do? He draws connections. He ties the invisible threads between things. He dives into history, be it the history of mankind, the geological history of the Earth or the beginning and end of the manifest cosmos.” Anselm Kiefer
