Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. Close inspection reveals an irregular surface texture to the extreme upper and lower edges of the left panel, possibly inherent to the artist’s working method. Further close inspection under raking light reveals two faint and unobtrusive scratches measuring 1 inch and 1 ½ inches towards the lower edge of the left panel. There are visible handling marks throughout both panels.
