Condition

This work is in fair condition overall. There is evidence of wear and handling along the edges. The bare canvas along the upper right edge and faint white wispy areas throughout the work appear inherent to the artist's intent and working method. The light and dark lines along the lateral and bottom sides appear to be evidence of previous exposure to water. Under very close inspection, pinpoint white spot accretions are visible in the lower third of the canvas. Under ultraviolet light inspection, the aforementioned areas of previous water contact fluoresce but do not appear to be the result of restoration. Unframed.
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Catalogue Note

"What you forget and rediscover in a painting is the experience of light. You don't remember light...short term you think you do; long term there's no remembrance of light. You don't carry light around with you in your head as a memory the way we do other things. It's always fresh." Larry Poons
