Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. The margins of the sheet have discolored slightly with age. There are scattered artist’s pinholes in the corners, intermittently along the top and bottom edges and in the lower left corner of the image. One of the artist’s pinholes has torn slightly in the upper left corner, which is obscured by the top mount. Only visible when the top mount is removed, there is evidence of former adhesive residue along the right, left and center of the bottom edges. Also obscured by the top mount and frame, there is a horizontal repaired tear that extends 2¾-inches from the left edge, 14¾ inches from the top. The colors in the image are bright, fresh and clean. Under very close inspection, a few pinpoint media accretions and light graphite smudges are visible from the time of execution. The sheet is hinged intermittently verso to the matte. Framed under glass.
