Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the red is brighter and the background is slightly deeper and richer in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There are a few imperfections to the Cellotex board, notably in the upper right corner, which are inherent to the artist's choice of medium. Very close inspection reveals a pinhead-sized indentation towards the centre of the left edge of the right-facing black shape. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.

Catalogue Note
"I chose to use poor materials to prove that they could still be useful. The poorness of a medium is not a symbol: it is a device for painting."
