Description

  • beech
  • the canapé 133cm. wide; 4ft. 3in.
with channelled square and oblong back rests and seat frames on turned and fluted supports, stuffed seats and padded back panels, upholstered in grey trellis silk; redecorated and reblocked, together with a carved giltwood caned canapé in Louis XV style, with a curved back
and sides within a moulded frame throughout, carved flowers at the
crest and scallop-shell on the seat rail, woven cane panels and raised on
cabriole legs

Condition

The chairs: Re-decorated. Old worm to the seat rails which no longer appears to be active. Some chairs re-blocked. Upholstery could benefit from a clean according to taste. Old marks and scratches commensurate with age. The canapé: Gilding worn and flaking in areas. Old marks and scratches.
