Description

  • the models, 18.7cm., 7 3/8 in. and 19.7cm., 7 3/4 in. high
modelled by J. J. Kändler, their fur picked out with brown markings, one seated wearing a collar and panting, the other with head partially turned and left hind leg raised to scratch, freestanding and mounted on Transitional ormolu oblong stands with borders en-guilloche and embossed and scrolled feet,

Condition

The seated dog is in very good condition, no damage noted. The seated dog scratching is also in very good condition, there are some minute scattered surface chips to its body. The gilt-bronze mount is slight dirty and would benefit from a light clean according to taste.
