each seated in a begging posture, their fur picked out with brown splotches, on a later tasselled square ormolu cushions decorated with flowers and a rope-twist border, a porcelain floral spray at each corner, one with a restored ear,

One dog with ear and snout restored, typical losses to petals.
One of the cushion bases lacking the underside liner.
