A Chinese wucai jar and cover 17th century

Description

  • porcelain
painted with a dignitary, officials and attendants in a fenced garden, the domed cover similarly decorated with boys amongst rocks and shrubs

Condition

The jar has an approx. 3.5cm rim crack visible on both sides, and a 4cm body hairline visible around the feet of the dignitary. The cover has a 4-point star crack (longest branch measuring around 1cm). There are minor surface scratchings and enamel wear.
