painted with floral sprays, the rim encircled by iron-red and gilt ruyi heads, the exterior decorated with three lotus sprays; together with a café-au-lait-ground famille-verte dish

The pair: Collection of Jacob Gieli (according to label).

Condition

One of the pair has a 3cm section of the rim restored with visible overpainting. There are other shallow rim chips, particularly to the exterior. The other is in general good condition. Minor glaze firing imperfections and surface scratches. The café-au-lait-ground famille-verte dish has a 0.5cm shallow chip to the exterior rim. The foot has two shallow chips and other minor nibbling. There are numerous stained scratches on the base. Minor glaze firing imperfections
