Description

  • 41.5cm., 16 1/4in. high
in Louis XV style, circular bases cast and chased with formal leaf and foliate motifs, each with detachable three branch section complete with detachable nozzles

Condition

The colour of the gilding is slightly more golden and attractive than in the catalogue photograph. There is attractive detail to the casting. With some very minor pitting. One of the roundels to the lunette has possibly been replaced. There is some minor surface dirt to the gilt bronze which could benefit from cleaning according to taste. One stem is slightly crooked and needs tightening. The finial to one is also slightly crooked and needs straightening and one of the bobeche needs adjusting to sit flush.
