modelled by J. J. Kändler, the huntsman standing beside a tree stump, wearing a gilt-edged turquoise uniform with puce cuffs and lapel, pale-yellow breeches and black boots, a black tricorn hat tucked under his left arm, the hound seated beside on a lead, raised on a shaped grassy mound base, some restoration and small chip,

Condition
There is restoration to tail of wig and across shoulders. Head may have been off. Some re-gilding. Restoration to tail of coat, to dog's lead and to some of the leaves. Also restoration around the top edge of his right boot and to the spurs of the boots. One leaf lacking.

The figure of the huntsman, Johann Georg Wentzel, was first modelled by Kändler in 1744. His taxa or work records for January of that year lists `Vor Ihro Königl.
