Description

  • 11.4cm., 4 1/2 in. high
of small size and squat globular form, the spout with a grotesque mask terminal, painted on each side with a chinoiserie scene, within a quatrefoil frame filled with Böttger lustre picked out in gilding, and iron-red scrollwork, surrounded by small winged insects, the spout and handle painted with flowering branches, K.P.M and crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, gilt numeral 3. to both pieces, some re-gilding to cover,

Condition

Teapot- very minor wear to gilding. Some re-gilding and minor loss of gilding to cover.
