boldly modelled as a shell-edged rococo scroll applied with colourful flowers, the central aperture set with a gilt-metal mount, with a later associated pocket watch movement, traces of crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, some repair,

 

Condition

The upper parts re-stuck in two pieces and restored. Very minor losses to flower petals.

Catalogue Note

The only other example in the literature was with Angela Gräfin von Wallwitz, see her catalogue Celebrating Kaendler, 2006, pp.184-187. Interestingly, that piece too was fitted with a London clock movement.
