Condition

In general good condition, some ware to enamel and as a result few, minor sections missing, very small chip to one of diamonds in finial of lid, as viewed.

Catalogue Note

The present miniature goblet would have originally been fitted on a dish also decorated with a bright enamel design, as can be seen on a set in the Art Institute of Chicago (inv. no. 1967.541a-b), described as a “wine cup with cover”, indicating its usage.
