Condition

General pile 3-4mm with areas down to foundation across the carpet and extending into the border. Especially visible on the right side of main field. There are some small repairs in areas for example centre of top border and minor surface spot marks for example visible in ivory ground of border top left and bottom right. There is a split in top right corner of outer guard. Top end with vestiges of flat weave and fringe (fringe darkly stained and sticky) herringbone binding on the reverse for support. Lower end with distressed fringing across width in similar state to top, repaired split lower left corner extending through to narrow bands of border. Good size, lovely drawing and colouring. Would benefit from a clean and sympathetic restoration.
