Condition

These solid, elegant chairs are of nice quality and one features makers branding A.G. possibly for Ayliffe and Gee. One chair with a 1/2 x 1/2 inch loss to the arm support where it joins with back stile and with a peg for stabilization due to previous break. 3" of inlay to backrest lacking; other small losses. Other chair with patches and restorations to both armrests at join with stiles. One glue block now lacking. Usual bruises, scratches and chips consistent with use and age. One chair with one later strengthening block to the to the underside of the seat rail and another with two of these blocks.
