Condition
A theatrical piece. The later top is composed of five different pieces of marble, the top and four edges. Gesso with chips and losses, largest being to the top of the eagle's head; gilding with rubbing and losses. Areas of exposed gesso. The snake is cracked. The base with wear and age split. Age cracks to both wings and to the base as well as smaller ones throughout.
