- PORCELAIN
- height of conductor 6 7/8 in.
- 17.5 cm
comprising: a conductor and music stand, a drum bearer, a triangle player, a bassoonist, a hurdy gurdy player, a flautist, a bagpiper, a harpsichord player seated astride a monkey and three singers, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue. 12 pieces.
Condition
Conductor and music stand: in good condition.
Drum bearer: An extremity on his hat has been chipped away; the tips of his left toes are chipped.
Triangle player: his hat, the triangle and the roll are restored.
Bassoonist: The feather on his hat has been partially chipped away. The bassoon has been broken off in two places and restored back. His right big toe is chipped away and there is a very small flat chip to the underside, which is not apparent from the exterior.
Hurdy gurdy player: The crank at the end of the instrument is chipped away. Otherwise, good condition.
Flautist: Two fingers of his left hand and his right thumb have been chipped away.
Bagpiper: The lower portion of the bagpipe is broken away and his left thumb is chipped. Otherwise, good condition.
Harpsichord player: His right foot has been broken off and restored back with made up material; his left foot is chipped away. There is an approximate 1/5-inch chip to the edge of the base.
Three singers: one has both of her big toes chipped away. The second has a short haircrack running from the lower part of her skirt to the base and an approximate 1-inch long area at the edge of the base with some chipping; the fingers of her right hand are restored. There are additional two small flat chips to the edge of the base. The third is in good condition.
