Catalogue Note
Lenoir Ravrio is documented on Rue des Filles St-Thomas from 1820-40. The Marly Horses by Guillaume I Coustou were commissioned in 1739 by Louis XV for the gardens of the Château de Marly. A clock of a similar model as part of a garniture was sold Sotheby's London, November 4, 2009, lot 92.
