Condition
The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. Good overall condition despite the inevitable scratches and marks throughout due to age and use. The lacquer is later and is chipped especially on a few armchairs.
A few minor restorations to the armchairs on the carved moulding or on a few legs which have been reinforced with later additional wooden blocks (only visible at the reverse of the seatrails).
As visible on the illustration, a small carved ornament is missing at the top of a leg on an armchair. It can be replaced easily.
A few traces of old woodworm which are inactive now.
The upholstery is in fair condition despite some wear throughout but it is not distressed (only the silk at the reverse of the backs).
Nice decoration on the upholstery.
All construction are sound and firm.
