Cette aquarelle date probablement du séjour que le Prince et la Princesse de Joinville firent au Portugal en 1850. Elle peut être rattachée à la série d'aquarelles du prince de Joinville vendues chez Sotheby's dans la vente Tableaux, mobiliers et livres appartenant à Mgr le Comte de Paris et Madame la Comtesse de Paris, provenant de la Quinta do Ajinho, Monaco 14 et 15 décembre 1996, lots 107 à 125.

The watercolor was probably executed during the prince and princesse de Joinville's journey in Portugal in 1850. It is probably part of the watercolor series by the prince de Joinville that were sold by Sotheby's in 1996, in Monaco.
