Exhibited

Louis - Philippe, l'homme et le roi, Archives Nationales, Paris, octobre 1974 - février 1975, p. 83 n° 323.

Condition

The painting sits on its original canvas. The matter is very thin and dry. Small vertical cracks are visible on the right hand-side part of the composition especially, and minor chips are missing, scattered on the surface (visible in the catalogie). Under UV light, a scratch appears on Louis-Philippe's lips; on the left, a repaint spot appears. A certain number of chips seem to have been filled. Good overall conditon.
