    Porte un cartel avec une inscription Sœur Bathilde, Abesse de Chelles / Mademoiselle de Chartres, Louis Adélaïde d’Orléans. Fille de Philippe d’Orléans régent de France et / Mademoiselle de Blois. Née à Versailles le 13 août 1698, reçut le voile non des mains du cardinal de / Noailles le 30 mars 1713. Fut sacrée abesse de Chelles le 14 septembre 1719 et succède à Madame / de Villars. Elle mourut à Paris le 20 Février 1743 au couvent du Tresnet paroisse de Ste Marguerite.

Condition

To the naked eye: The painting appears in relatively satisfactory condition. The painting appears under an old varnish. It has been correctly lined on the first half of the last century. We notice some light old spots of restoration on the background. Under U.V. light: The painting appears under a green uniform varnish. We notice some small restorations on the background already mentioned. We notice some light repaints on the face and the white collar and another repaint surrounding the hand with the burning heart. We notice some restorations along the lower part.
