Condition

Illustration is quite accurate. Lot sold as is. Stains and burns, especially on folds.

Catalogue Note

Fontenoy, près de Tournai, fut la plus grande victoire militaire du règne de Louis XV, remportée grâce au Maréchal de Saxe le 11 mai 1745.
Les filles du Roi, Adélaïde (1732-1800) et Victoire (1733-1799), vinrent prendre les eaux à Plombières deux étés de suite, en 1761 et 1762. Ce fut également pour elles l'occasion de rendre visite à leur grand-père, le roi Stanislas, résidant à Lunéville tout proche.
