Description

  • Robe de grand soir en pétales d'organza noir et bustier drapé
  • organza

Provenance

Garde-robe de Madame Claude Helleu.

Condition

: It has an ‘Adaptation’ label, so not from the house itself but using the Desses pattern. The internal finishes are not haute couture. The interior of the bodice is lightly soiled and the dress would benefit from cleaning generally. Some of the petals at the waist sides need re-stitching. There is a 2 x 1cm split at the right waist, 5cm split in the organza at edge of zip opening. There are eight layers of tulle petticoats, some with crin edging for extra stiffness. These are crumpled but generally good with the occasional split, One of the upper layers on the front right side has a 50cm split along the edge of the crin. The rayon waist slip at the centre however has numerous moth holes. b. 81cm, 31in, w.56cm, 22in.
