Description

  • huanghuali
each of slightly waisted cylindrical form rising from a flat base, the wood patinated to a deep rich tone 

Provenance

Purchased from Hei Hung-Lu, Hong Kong, late 1980s/early 1990s.

Condition

Both brushpots are in good condition with the exception of the larger which has a repaired shallow V-shaped circa 1.5cm., flake to the rim, some minor nicks to the edge of the rim and very light scratches; the smaller has a circa 4 x 5mm., shallow area of repair to the edge of the foot and very minor scratches.
