the domed cover carved in low relief with a shou medallion encircled by five stylized ruyi heads, all enclosed within a raised border, the fitted box raised on a low foot, the translucent stone of an even white color; together with a pale celadon jade plaque, carved on both sides with a shou character framed by a reticulated border (3)
Provenance
Acquired in Boston, Massachusetts in the early 20th century and thence by descent.
Condition
There are minor nicks to the rim of both the cover and the box, but otherwise the box and cover is in overall good condition. The jade plaque is in overall good condition.
