Description

  • jade
decorated in openwork with coiled chilong and lingzhi, one half of the buckle terminating in a dragon-head hook, the other with an accommodating oval aperture, the underside of each fitted with a flower-head circular button, the stone of an even white color (2)

Provenance

Acquired in Boston, Massachusetts in the early 20th century and thence by descent. 

Condition

There are minor nicks to the edges, but otherwise the buckle is in overall good condition.
