of rectangular form, painted on both sides in bright enamels, one depicting an animated scene of a backward facing archer on horseback unwittingly racing towards capture, possibly the "Chasing the Rebel Sun Biao" scene from The Romance of the Western Chamber, all within a cell-pattern border cornered by lingzhi, the reverse with a landscape, bare trees and evergreens along one edge and distant dwelling tucked behind hills and shrouded by trees on the other, centered by a sparely painted flock of migrating geese indicating the coming of winter, accompanied by a gilt poetic inscription enclosed by a dense floral border, wood frame and stand (2)
Condition
The plaque is in good condition. There is wear to the enamels at the corners and to the gilt inscription. Please note the panel has not been inspected outside of the frame.
