the shallow, rounded sides rising to an everted rim, the interior painted in vivid tones of cobalt blue with two Buddhist lions playing with a be-ribboned ball amidst auspicious emblems enclosed within concentric lines, the exterior with two further pairs of Buddhist lions centered by a ball trailing ribbons divided by ruyi-form clouds; together with a 17th century blue and white bowl with convex center painted with auspicious Buddhist symbol, the exterior with plants and insects, the base with an apocryphal Xuande mark (2)

Condition

The Jiajing dish with three hairline cracks from rim the bowl with a burst air bubble with staining extending to either side approximately 1/4 in. (0.6 cm) long to the exterior. The interior with minor glaze pull around the central medallion.
