Description

the heavily potted U-form bowl with deep rounded sides resting on a low foot, carved on the interior with a central medallion of a flowering branch, the sides with eight detached flower sprays beneath a band of scrollwork around the rim, the exterior carved with a continuous band of peonies, the base with a burnt orange ring, lacquer cover, japanese wood box and cover (4)

Condition

The bowl is in overall good condition. There is a very slight potting flaw to the rim with very small indentation to the exterior rim. There is wear to the surface which has been polished.
