Description

  • jade
of flattened baluster form raised on a short conforming foot, carved with an old man seated on a rocky outcrop with a bat flying overhead, the reverse with a cat picked out under a pine tree, the even white stone with areas of russet to one side, without a stopper

Condition

There is some light natural pitting to the stone and expected nibbling to the edge of the foot. The snuff bottle is otherwise in good condition. The catalogue illustration is slightly brighter than the actual colour of the stone.
