of flattened rectangular form, intricately painted on one side with a scene of scholar studying in the night in a pavilion, the reverse with an inscription, signature of Ma Shaoxuan and red seal

Condition
The snuff bottle is in overall good condition. The slightly irregular rim suggests that it may have been polished down to conceal an earlier nick.
