the ovoid jar with raised mouth painted with a wide band of ‘lotus scroll’ medallions divided by cloud scrolls arranged in an alternating double register, with lappets encircling the mouth and foot
Provenance
A private Japanese collection.
Condition
There are firing imperfections including a prominent approx. 8 cm firing flaw on the exterior. There is also general fritting to the rim and surface wear.
