Description

  • rhinoceros horn
carved in high relief and openwork with two frolicking chilong, with two reticulated handles, one finely picked out as a section of bamboo issuing a thin secondary branch, the other modelled as stem bearing clusters of large lingzhi, with one sprouting on the interior of the mouth, the hollow of the vessel skilfully rendered with angled contours to suggest a lingzhi, the glossy patina of a golden-amber colour, wood stand
