Description

  • porcelain
with rounded sides set on a low tapered foot, covered with a pale celadon glaze, the base inscribed with a six-character reign mark within a double-square

Provenance

Christie's New York, 3rd June 1993, lot 238.

Condition

There is a 1.9 cm hairline crack to the rim, along with some minor imperfections including an iron spot and minute specks to the rim and a pinhole to the base and interior. There is a slight distortion on the footring. The actual bowl is of a somewhat warmer celadon colour compared to the catalogue illustration.
