the first modelled from a clear yellow glass overlaid with a layer of opaque yellow glass, carved through the transparent ground with a long-tailed bird perched on a rock among large sprays of peony and prunus; the second with an opaque milky-white body similarly carved with prunus and peony, the neck collared with upright leaves; the clear sapphire-blue bowl carved with birds and flowers, including prunus, chrysanthemum, orchid, prunus and bamboo

Condition

The yellow vase: The vase is in overall good condition. There is a small dent at the bottom of the stalk of one of the peony sprig. There is some expected occasional nibbling along the edge of the carved overlay or the rim, as well as some wear to the underside. The white vase: The rim is lightly polished around. there is a nick and a small flake on the underside of it. There is some wear to the base and typical imperfections in the paste. The blue bowl: The bowl is in overall good condition. The rim is slightly polished down in two areas to conceal minute dents or air bubbles, possibly originals to the piece. The colour are overall consistent with the catalogue illustration.
