of square section, covered with black lacquer and inlaid with mother-of-pearl, the interior decorated with a night scene depicting two figures under an overhanging pine tree, the exterior with inlaid stylised motifs, Japanese wood box

Condition

There are minute nicks to the edges, superficial flakes and occasional relacquering as well as expected age cracks to the lacquer. There are also losses and replacements to the inlays.
