of archaic cong form, the tall rectangular body rising from a broad circular base to a short tapered neck with a rounded rim, set on two sides with elephant-head handles suspending fixed rings, covered overall save for the foot rim with an thick unctuous purplish-blue glaze thinning to white along the edges, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character reign mark

Condition

The vase is generally in good condition. There is a small restoration to one of the the upper corners and another restored flake further down along the upper edge of the vase. There is a gap in the glaze to the opposite corner revealing the biscuit underneath. there are a few light scratches to the surface in areas.
