well potted with rounded sides sweeping up to an angular shoulder and waisted neck, the neck flanked by a pair of tubular lug handles, the lower body carved with a frieze of lotus scrolls between bands of ruyi and crashing waves, the waisted neck divided into five registers enclosing a variety of archaistic motifs, covered overall with an even sea-green glaze, the base incised with an apocryphal six-character Qianlong seal mark
