the pair of mythical birds depicted standing perched on a rocky outcrop; the achaistic vase of flattened shield form decorated with lappets and taotie mask bands, flanked by a jue vessel set on pierced rockwork, wood stands
Condition
The pair of birds both in overall good condition, with some expected minute nibbling. Affixed with glue to wood stands. The bird finial on the vase with chips to the wings, a chip to the extremities on the animal mask of the adjacent jue and another along the spout. The cover and stand affixed to the vase with glue.
