the dragonfly carved in the round in openwork, resting atop a leafy millet branch with its segmented abdomen tucked to one side under wings detailed with veins; the reticulated butterfly pendant carved on both sides with broad furling wings and antennae curling and reaching for a peony bloom, each stone of a pale celadon colour

Condition

The butterfly carving is in overall good condition. There is a small nick to the tip of the head on one side, as well as some expected nibbling on the edge. The dragonfly is overall in good condition with expected wear to the surface. The catalogue illustration is lighter than the actual colour of the stone.
