the waterpot in the form of a hollow well with two birds perched on the rim, the sides wrapped in gnarled branches of pine, wood stand; the two enamoured birds depicted grasping a sprig of lotus, the smoothly polished stones picked out with russet details

Condition

Both carvings are in overall good condition. There are minute nicks and small areas of bruising to the fragile extremities of both carvings.
