of oval section, the straight sides resting on a slightly splayed base supported on three short feet, the exterior delicately carved with bamboo shoots issuing from behind a jagged boulder, incised with two verses from Liu Qian's poem and followed by the poem's title Zhushan, the bamboo with a smooth striated variegated brown patina

The brushpot is in overall good condition except for minor surface wear as consistent with age.
