Description
- jade
the delicate stone intricately worked with deep rounded paper-thin sides as a radiating floral bloom with fluted petals, gently rising to an everted rim, all supported on a short foot, the rim flanked by a pair of curled acanthus loop handles, the domed cover similarly worked with slender petals radiating from a semi-precious stone finial within a gilt-bronze band
Condition
The bowl and cover are generally in good condition. There is an approx. 4 cm radiant hairline extending from the rim of the bowl. There is some typical light occasional nibbling along the rims or the edges of the handles. There is some expected wear and light tarnishing to the gilt-bronze mounting on the cover finial. The bowl comes with an old padded box. The padding on the interior of the box is soiled and the red velvet outside somewhat distressed.
