naturalistically carved as a burled tree trunk enveloped with gnarled branches meandering around the vessel, the branches depicted bearing clusters of large pine blossoms, the interior and base lacquered dark brown, the stipple-grained bamboo of a dark reddish-brown colour

Condition

The cup is generally in good condition. There are a few typical nicks or losses including a 0.4 cm chip to a thin branch near the base. Some expected wear to the lacquer on the base or light bruises along the mouthrim.
